Life is but a Journey

If you were to walk out to the street in Malaysia right now, you’ll notice a lot of flag hanging everywhere. Some with the rocket sign, some with moon sign and some with scale sign. Election is just around the corner and the polling date is on the 8th March 2008 and thus you’ll notice a lot more flags around you. The sign on each flag represent a party that are competing to be the next government. Since the election is drawing near, each party will become more aggresive to give speech to draw votes.

Election happens in every country and it is every citizen responsibilities to vote for the person that they think will be a good governor. This will be my first election and I’m still wondering, thinking and pondering….whom shall I vote. I know not a single nominees that will be competing…haihz.

As I was driving home the other day, I saw people putting up banners and posters of the nominees that are competing for the election, I couldn’t help but think, does it make a different of putting up this banners? What have these nominees done to help improve our town, city, state or country? A lot of times, we hear people complain about bad roadworks, drain clogging and etc etc and it took the government worker so long to fix it. Corruptions….our PM is doing his best to wipe out corruption and here they are wearing the badge saying they are anti-corruption and still ask for bribe. What have this people do to help?

Sometimes I feel that, no point these people have speech everywhere telling citizen how good they are and how they can help them improve their life and all. What it takes is to do it and not talking about it as ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!! Every 5 years these people will make the same speech, make promises but after election, they don’t walk what they’ve talk and it’s really disappointing. I really do hope that Malaysian will be more wise is voting for their future leaders. Pray before you vote. Choose wisely, vote smartly.
